"Previous Posts" massacre

Blogger, what's gotten into you? First you cripple the HTML editing capabilities, such as the "Posted by" access. And now I notice - there is NO WAY to add the tried and true "Previous Posts" to the sidebar. Do I have to return to "Classic" (whatever this means, have not tried that yet) to get all those goodies back? Very troublesome. It starts with small things, then gets to be downright Korolenkian.
