Picture mongering

Not sure what mongering means, but I am sure that it could be done better in blogger's picture upload thingy. Why can't pictures be inserted at the cursor position? If there are lots, how can one humanly rearrange them in text-only approach of the blog post window. Seriously: how can one humanly work with images in a window this size:
